Why a dress code?
A dress code (we also like to think of it as the 'team uniform') promotes focused learning in the classroom. With everyone wearing the same 'uniform', no student is distracted by what their fellow classmate is wearing. The dress code is designed so that teachers can assure that the dancer is utilizing proper alignment and muscles in class. This helps the dancer to progress at a faster rate. The dress code re-inforces the style of the dance genre being taught.
Dance attire with ballet shoes.
Powder blue leotard (with or without attached skirt), pink tights, pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes.
Boys: white t-shirt, black pants and black ballet and tap shoes.
Ballet/Jazz
Powder blue leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. (Jazz shoes may be required by recital time, they are not needed at the start of the year.)
Boys: white t-shirt, black pants and black ballet shoes.
Ballet/Tap
Powder blue leotard, pink tights, pink ballet and black tap shoes.
Boys: white t-shirt, black pants and black ballet shoes.
Ballet
Powder blue or black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes.

Contemporary
Dance attire and Shoes TBA.
Jazz/Hip Hop/Breakin'
Girls & Boys: Fitted T-shirt with either black cargo pants or capris and black jazz sneakers.
Ballroom & Latin
Fitted t-shirt, black footless tights with black Belara handkerchief skirt (can be ordered at the first class for $16/child $18/adult) with black character or ballroom shoes.
Boys: black t-shirt, comfortable pants and black ballroom shoes. No jeans.
Studio Dans t-shirt and black dance shorts with beige jazz shoes.
Dance attire may be purchased through Studio Dans with the exception of cargo pants, and fitted t-shirt.
