Children and Youth Classes:

Calendar year is 35 weeks.

Registration fee of $25 per family. 

Tuition is paid in 3 equal installments.  

8 Week Classes:

Payment due at registration.

Group Ballroom Classes:

4 Week sessions.

Payment due at registration.

Studio Dans Policies:

Registration Fee: $25 per family is due at registration.

Tuition: Tuition is paid in 3 equal installments: Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable. A $10 late fee will be charged if payment is not received within 7 days of the due date. A $25 fee will be charged for all returned checks. Classes will be filled on a first come, first served basis. 

Class Etiquette: All students are expected to be on time and dressed appropriately. Students who do not adhere to the dress code will not be permitted to attend class. All students are expected to treat fellow students with respect. Gross misconduct will not be tolerated.

Absences: Make-up classes must be made within one month and with the permission of the Studio.

Termination: In the event that a student wishes to withdraw from class, a one month notice is required.

Recital: Performance is scheduled for Saturday, May 16th. Payment is due December 1. A letter will be sent home in November with the details.

Drop Off/Pick Up: Students may not be dropped off at the Studio earlier than 15 minutes prior to class and must be picked up no later than 15 minutes following the class. For liability reasons, children under the age of 18 who are not attending class at Studio Dans are not permitted to be in the building unless accompanied by an adult.

Inclement Weather: Please call the studio or check the website for cancellation information in the case of severe weather. Studio Dans does not follow Howard County School closings.

Studio Dans is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Dress Code: 

Hair must be tied back neatly for all classes.

CHILDREN & YOUTH:

• Toddlers in Motion: Dance attire with ballet shoes.

• Pre-School Ballet/Tap: Powder blue leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes. Boys: white t-shirt, black tights/pants and black ballet shoes.

• Ballet: Powder blue leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. Boys: white t-shirt, black tights/pants and black ballet shoes.

• Jazz: Powder blue leotard, black jazz pants and black jazz shoes. Boys: white t-shirt, black tights/pants and black jazz shoes.

• Tap: Powder blue leotard, pink tights and tap shoes. Boys: white t-shirt, black tights/pants and tap shoes.

• Ballroom: Comfortable clothing with black character or ballroom shoes.

• Sports Dans: Fitness attire with black jazz shoes.

• Adaptive Dance & Movement: Dance attire with ballet shoes.

• Hip Hop: Powder blue leotard, black jazz pants and jazz shoes. Boys: white t-shirt, blight tights/pants and black jazz shoes.
